Found Footage projected to film layers recycled from flat-screen TVs, Sound, and Text
The news media has a different effect on diaspora. We are living two realities at the same time. In time of conflict it gets even worse.
This video installation incorporates found footage from American news broadcasting channels covering the Middle East conflict. The footage was projected over a pile of half transparent films that were taken out of used flat screen TVs. The work refers to the news bias and how the media can side-step issues regarding certain countries (e.g., those in the Middle East and make them seem less important or have them forgotten.
