I was once Sisyphus in a military camp

In this performance, I share a dream I once had with the audience. In the dream, I was the only female soldier in an all-male mandatory basic combat training camp. I was punished everyday because my long black hair distracted the other soldiers. My hair was so thick that the officer couldn’t cut it short. He was always furious with me, so he ordered me to ride two bicycles at the same time and circle the camp every morning before the daily routine.

As I tell this story to the audience, I begin breaking two eggs and mixing them together. I continue: “I woke up from the dream anxious and worried about my hair. I touched it to see if it was really cut, then immediately reached for my phone to find the best home remedy to treat my hair. Turns out a raw egg makes a great nourishing mask!”
I then apply the egg mixture to my hair.
